Will you ever play live with IDF or Telurica? Both IDF & Telurica are studio projects, I being the only member. You might get the chance to see IDF live at some point if I'll be able to find the musicians to complete the line up (guitar, percussion, vocals at least). However so far this seems almost impossible. On the other hand, Telurica was created for the sole purpose of experimenting with various sounds and programs on the computer, it was never my intention to perform live.
Where can I find Telurica, IDF or Project 333 cds? All the released albums are either sold out, or not available anymore. However you can still stream some songs in the Music section! Listen & enjoy!
Why don't you use vocals for IDF and Telurica? Vocals are a very delicate component of a song; if not done right, will "kill" that tune. On the other hand, finding musicians interested in joining my musical projects seems impossible; therefore I'm seriously thinking of making Telurica & IDF some sort of "collective music" - see next q/a.
"Collective music" - what do you mean by that? Well, it might sound complicated & pretentious, but actually it's quite simple: as opposed to working with a traditional line up, "collective music" means keeping an all time open line up: anyone can join in, as long as he/she meets this minimal requirement: knowledge of working with a multitrack editing software (I normally use Adobe Audition, but you can use any other program you feel comfortable working with), because you will receive the song tracks in WAV format and you will have to put them together, work & record on your own PC. For more details send me an email. One more thing: for collaborators outside Romania: basic to mid level English knowledge is also required because all communication will be in English...but since you're reading this, I guess we've covered that part :)
How do you create IDF & Telurica songs? Do you use samples, or hardware equipment? IDF: all the drumS & synth tracks are sampled/computer programmed, all guitars & bass tracks are live recorded; Telurica: until 2008 all the music was sample based. 2008 marked a significant change because I decided to switch from using samples to hardware gear. This will produce a dramatic change (in the good sense) to future Telurica & IDF songs, because I'm not limited anymore to use just certain musical phrases and structures - freedom is just one button away.
